Business Development Representative

The Business Development Representative (BDR) will support the sales team at ExampleCorp, a leading provider of innovative software solutions. The BDR will be responsible for generating new business opportunities through outbound prospecting and lead follow-up. This position will be based in our Boston office. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a strong desire to learn and be a part of a fast-paced, collaborative sales team.

Key Responsibilities

The following areas of focus will be central to your role in this position:

  • Research and identify potential new customers within assigned territory
  • Generate leads and schedule appointments with potential customers
  • Conduct customer needs analysis and present solutions to customers
  • Prepare proposals and presentations for potential customers
  • Attend trade shows and events to generate leads
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of company solutions and services

Qualifications and Skills

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following attributes:

  • A bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field
  • A minimum of two years' experience in a Business Development Representative role, or a similar role
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to build relationships with customers and potential customers
  • The ability to identify new business opportunities
  • The ability to work independently and take initiative
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • The ability to meet deadlines
