• Make rounds in hospitals and nursing homes.
• Operate on patients to correct deformities, repair injuries, prevent diseases, and improve functions.
• Prescribe and administer medication and other forms of treatment, such as physical therapy and inhalation therapy.
• Refer patients to other physicians and health care professionals for specialized treatment.
• Research medical treatments and procedures.

Qualifications and Skills

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following attributes:

• Must be licensed to practice medicine in the United States
• Board certified or eligible in a specialty recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties
• Completion of an accredited residency training program in their specialty
• A minimum of two years of post-residency clinical experience
• Able to obtain a license to practice medicine in the state where they will be working
• Able to obtain malpractice insurance
• Able to pass a criminal background check
